COMMERCIAL CLEANING & COMPLIANCE OPERATIVE

We are Pymroyd Facilities Management. We are an award winning, friendly, Meltham based business offering a broad range of property services to a portfolio which spans the North of England.

The role of commercial cleaning & compliance operative is integral to maintaining a safe and pleasant place for people to live.

Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning:

Cleaning duties will include the following:

  • To clean designated areas of the buildings to the highest possible standards.
  • Mopping of hard floor surfaces.
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas.
  • Wiping, polishing, dusting of designated areas.
  • Ensuring communal bin areas are clean and tidy.
  • Cleaning of internal glass, internal and external door glass.
  • Cleaning of external windows as necessary through specific window cleaning jobs.
  • End of tenancy cleans

General duties will include the following:

  • Comfortable with driving between developments in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing door locks, fixing radiators.
  • End of tenancy cleans as and when needed.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained regularly.

Compliance Checks

Duties will include the following:

  • To ensure that the buildings remain safe, secure, and compliant at all times.
  • To carry out weekly fire alarm testing and record results accordingly.
  • To carry out weekly emergency light testing and record.
  • To complete visual inspections of, but not limited to, doors, door access and security, lights and light switches, CCTV, fire escapes, lifts.

REQUIREMENTS/ROLE CRITERIA

  • Cleaning experience – Minimum of 1 year 
  • Full UK Driving Licence & be willing to travel to our various sites across the UK on a daily basis
  • You need to be hard-working, honest, dependable, self-motivated and organised
  • A customer focused, professional, and polite manner is required at all times.
  • You will also have a good understanding for the importance Health & Safety.

The successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check and previous employment reference checks.

Hours of work

Monday – Friday – 6:30am – 3:30pm

Hours may change slightly on occasions to suit specific jobs.

Overtime available

Licence:

  • Driving (Required) – Company van is provided for the role

Language:

  • English (Required)

Salary: From £10.50 per hour (rising to £11.50 in April 2024)
