The Eleanor Hirst Trust owns six stunning Grade II listed Almshouses in the pretty village of Wilshaw near Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. The Trusts aim is to maintain and preserve the Almshouses for the benefit of local, elderly or low-income residents.

We need your help
There is an opportunity to join the board of Trustees
Role: Being a Trustee of TEHT Almshouses means that you will help to improve social housing in Holmfirth. The Trustee Board is seeking individuals who will care about our residents and believe that they should have access to the best quality housing that the Trust can supply. As a Trustee you can help improve the lives of others. The Trustee board is a group of dedicated and committed local people who speak regularly and have a strong long term strategic goal. The role of the board is to instigate the future vision of practical and comfortable local Almshouses and support fellow trustees.
Ideally, we are seeking computer literate applicants who care about making a difference, and have wide ranging skills and particularly experience in the following areas:
*Social Welfare and associated policies
*Building maintenance and construction including Listed buildings
*Modern building technologies
*We actively encourage applicants from a diverse background to apply
Time commitment: There are two to four morning board meetings per year, with regular email contact as required.
Remuneration: This is a voluntary position and therefore does not pay a salary. Although reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
