The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Survey Technician in our Asset Management Team. No previous experience is necessary and is a great opportunity for someone either looking for that next step in their construction career or who has no previous experience but looking to start something new in an industry with various career opportunities.
With a starting salary of up to £20,000 as a Survey Technician you will undertake a variety of challenging and ‘hands on’ surveying projects throughout the UK.
You will be trained & mentored to carry out the inspection and assessment of residential properties to confirm the constructed form, identify defects and enable our clients to adequately plan property management for the future.
Assessments are usually of an invasive nature and will involve the use of hand & power tools to open up the fabric of a building. This enables the collection of information on the buildings construction and condition to enable the Project Manager to produce reports.
You will also be trained in the use of specialist concrete testing equipment to take samples of concrete and undertake on site testing of structural components.
This is an excellent opportunity to train specialise in working with buildings of non-standard construction whilst working alongside Chartered Surveyors.
Qualities required for this role will include:
- Full, clean driving licence
- A willingness to studying a construction related course (would consider applicants currently on day release)
- A ‘can do’ attitude and excellent work ethic.
- A drive to succeed
- A willingness to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to work throughout the UK*
*Due to the varied locations of projects, staying away overnight will be required on a regular basis. All hotel costs and expenses are covered, and an overnight allowance is paid for each overnight stay.
