A Sous Chef is sought for the Rusty Bull at Hinchliffes Farm in Netherton, Huddersfield
About the Rusty Bull:
Family owned, we are an independent company with hands-on owners working in the business and alongside the team each day.
We pride ourselves on empowering all our colleagues, giving you an input into menu changes, special dishes and kitchen processes.
Serving great British gastro pub style cuisine, focused on quality ingredients and following a seasonal structure alongside a focus on nose to tail cooking. Our menu offers both accessible British pub classics and adventurous dishes for more curious diners.
Serving 120 to 300 guests per day.
The Role:
This position requires an experienced candidate who is confident in all aspects of cookery and has a passion for delivering exceptional standards, consistently, whilst mentoring a junior team with patience, passion and professionalism.
The Sous chef is responsible for assisting in managing the quality of food, leading the kitchen team, maintaining an organised and safe department.
Also ordering, food stock control, staff rotas, team development and collaborating on menu items alongside the Head Chef
The Sous chef will work closely with site Head chef & Restaurant management to achieve best output of the business and collaborate on achieving customer and colleague satisfaction.
The kitchen hygiene & safety processes are already set up to a high standard.

Salary
- Competitive Salary, based on a 48-hour week over 5 days.
- Evenings shifts are currently 2 per week
- Discount Card for 20% in the farm shop (after 3 months service)
