Receptionists/Hosts Various Part Time positions available with shifts allocated between 09:00am and 05:00pm Wednesday to Monday with occasional evenings for private hire events. Overview: We are looking for a number of skilled and passionate receptionists/hosts to deliver both friendly and efficient customer service for all our guests whilst dealing with guest enquiries on the phone, in person and by email to support the front of house team at Lu’s Place. The ideal candidates will be customer-focused, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals who will have a flexible approach to their work and be happy to ‘muck in’ to other tasks associated with a café environment when needed. Job responsibilities for these roles include: Ensuring the prompt greeting and seating of our guests in a timely, proficient, and friendly manner whilst explaining the Lu’s Place experience in detail. Ensuring that all calls are answered in a professional and courteous manner. Taking enquiries via phone and email from prospective bookings. To ensure accurate bookings and reservation information is obtained from the guests wishing to make a reservation in person or by phone. Manage all enquiries and guest correspondence via email in accordance with the company standards. To ensure the reception desk is manned constantly. Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge of booking system (ResDiary) and ensure the correct procedures are followed. To ensure that the front of house reception area is kept to a high standard and of good presentation. To maximise covers and assist the front of house team in clearing and preparing tables for the next seating to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Help with social media and guest reviews. The ideal candidates for this role will: Have excellent communication both spoken and written English. Have a positive and engaging personality and professional appearance. Have a passion for customer service including customer awareness. Be highly reliable, trustworthy and possess excellent time management. Maintain customer confidentiality at all times. Have extensive knowledge of our menu and the ability to make recommendations Provide detailed information regarding ingredients and potential food allergies Have good planning and organizational skills. Have an interest in the industry that Lu’s Place falls under. Ensure smooth communication between reception, café, and kitchen managers. Be willing to undergo any training required to assist with the role.
