Receptionist/ Telephonist

We are looking for a Receptionists/ Telephonist’s to join our team.
Working 21.5 hours per week on the following shift pattern:
- Monday: 1 pm – 6 pm
- Tuesday: 12 pm – 6 pm
- Wednesday: 3 pm – 8 pm
- Friday: 1 pm – 6.30 pm

The role will be, split across our two sites with varied tasks and a competitive rate of pay.
Main duties of the job
The role involves assisting patients, booking appointments, responding to queries and signposting to appropriate support. This is largely done through telephone assistance, but also includes face to face patient service on the reception desk. The successful candidate will spend part of each shift working in our telephone room with a team of friendly colleagues who will provide ongoing support alongside training. A strong customer service background and ability to work well within a team is essential.
The role also involves administration work, which includes registering new patients, updating patient records, and processing referrals, samples and repeat prescriptions. Although full training will be provided, excellent IT skills are essential and some experience in administrative roles would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be a people person, a good communicator and a team player. They will be highly motivated, organised and efficient. Experience of working within a similar role in NHS care would be beneficial, but not essential.

Our large Holmfirth site has excellent facilities and offers a wide range of services. Our Meltham site is conveniently located in the heart of the local village community. We offer a full range of healthcare services to approximately 15,000 patients across both sites.
