Musical Director for Vocal Expressions Ladies Choir, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
Vocal Expressions is a well-established, non-auditioning, of almost 50 members, firmly rooted in its community. We are a sociable group who enjoy singing a wide variety of short pieces but are keen to discover and learn new pieces and improve our musical ability. We are looking for an enthusiastic musical director, with excellent vocal, musical and communication skills, and a good sense of humour, to inspire us to be the best we can be. The choir has the benefit of an excellent accompanist at rehearsals and concerts and our M.D. will be expected to work closely with him. We rehearse 44 weeks a year on Thursdays 7:30pm – 9:30pm and give 3-4 concerts a year. In addition, we have an annual residential workshop weekend and a one-day workshop. The post is offered on a self employed basis.
