We are now looking to recruit an experienced industrial Multi-skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our maintenance team. About the role?
This role is permanent full time Monday to Friday including a shared rota of weekend and on-call working. You will be based on site at our Holmfirth dairy. We ask that all our team are able to demonstrate a reasonable degree of flexibility with varying working hours based on production.
You will play an important role in the manufacturing of our quality dairy products working alongside our talented engineering team that’s passionate about driving improvements and innovation. You will engage in a diverse range of engineering challenges including maintenance of critical plant machinery alongside exciting new and ongoing projects.
Your role will involve ensuring all dairy machinery and equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, working closely and collaboratively with our dairy and engineering team. You will work creatively with your ideas and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and play and important part in the development of site installations, testing and commissioning.
About you?
We are looking for candidates that demonstrate:
- Proven experience in industrial mechanical and maintenance engineering (5+ years desirable, ideally with some experience in a food manufacturing environment)
- An NVQ Level 3 or recognised apprenticeship in a relevant engineering qualification
- You must be capable of carrying out problem solving techniques
- Ability to carry out and manage installation projects
- Some basic electrical knowledge and understanding
- Commitment to excellent food hygiene and health and safety practices
- Ability to be flexible when cover is needed for holidays, critical maintenance and projects
- IT literate
- Good communication skills, well organised and able to manage own workload
- Excellent attention to detail, taking care and pride in the quality of your work
- Understanding of PLC’s and motor VSD control systems (Not essential)
