Meltham Golf Club, nestled in the heart of a beautiful and picturesque parkland, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Golf Club Steward to join our team. We are a well-established club with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the clubhouse’s catering operation, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality. The option to take on the bar operations can be discussed.
- Managing catering services, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
- Organising and coordinating club events, functions, and golf competitions catering .
- Liaising with members to ensure their meal menu needs are met and enhancing the overall member experience.
- Managing a small team of staff, including scheduling, training, and development.
- AT the moment bar responsibilities are excluded, but the option is open to discuss this potential future aspect of the role
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or leisure industry.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the Club and its members.
- A passion for golf and knowledge of the sport would be an advantage but is not essential.
