TKF Training is a leading training provider for the land based industry based in Holmfirth. We are looking to recruit a forestry craftsperson with enthusiasm, good communication skills, resourcefulness and an ability to work safely and productively as part of a team and independently
We would expect the craftsperson to operate and maintain tools and equipment to the required standard and ensure that a safe working site and methods are planned and maintained. Take pride in their work and act professionally when dealing with colleagues, clients and members of the public.
Typical tasks would include, but not exclusively;
- Planting and beating up
- Weeding and cleaning of re-stock sites
- Fencing, installation and repair
- Tree felling
- Vegetation management
The work tasks require driving to site sometimes towing a trailer.
Qualifications
NPTC City & Guilds or Lantra qualification in chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting and processing trees up to 380mm.
