Early Years Practitioner – Netherthong Pre-School & Out of School Club

Netherthong Pre-School & Out of School Club are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner for our increasingly busy setting. We aim to provide a nurturing environment for all children and staff with wellbeing at the centre of our practice. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years and looking to make a difference in young children’s lives by providing unique learning opportunities.

Applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience of working with 2–5-year-olds. Good observational skills are required and a sound understanding of the EYFS is essential along with a good knowledge and understanding of child development.  Applicants will be required to communicate effectively with both children and parents and have a strong ability to work as a team member.  An understanding of relevant policies and awareness of relevant legislation is essential.  The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the preschool team to provide safe, high quality education and care of young children. To work under the direction of the Manager and the Deputy Manager.

 

A DBS service check will be required for this position. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.  Any job offer will be conditional and be subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references.

The role is for 25 plus hours per week (to be discussed), including working in our holiday club if needed.  The pre-school is open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (under review). The salary is competitive (£9.71 – £10.03 per hour) and dependent upon qualifications and experience.
