The Collective Power Fund invites local charities, community groups and volunteer-led groups to apply for funding of between £500 and £3,000, to tackle a range of environmental issues.
This fund aims to support environmental initiatives based on energy conservation, although it will also support other ‘green’ projects and activities. Please note: this fund and the Hirst Brierley Fund are open for applications at the same time, however you may only apply to one of the funds. One Community Foundation recognises the cost-of-living crisis is already affecting many families and individuals in Kirklees. As a consequence, this is affecting the charities, community projects and social enterprises that are supporting these groups of people.
We are extending the remit of the quarterly grants programme to help with the cost of essentials such as food & toiletries, clothing, utilities, travel costs and volunteer expenses incurred by community groups, charities and social enterprises. The Hirst Brierley fund supports activities that will reduce climate change, for example through energy efficiency, renewable energy or the creation and management of green spaces. The fund will provide grants of up to £3000 to fund in whole or in part projects such as: Energy efficiency in lighting or heating, Insulation or window improvement, tree planting or creation of green spaces, or land or river management. Match It – Open until June 24th for applications. We’ll match fund your fundraising efforts over a 3-month period. Partnering charities and community projects can raise up to £10,000 with Match it. To get you started, we’ll supply you with the ultimate social media starter pack to help you raise as much as you can. The pack includes social media posts, web banners, cover photos, ‘how to’ guides, posters, and so much more. In addition to funding, we are offering a bespoke organisational support package, specifically designed to support the sector. One Community has commissioned Lisa Jagger from Straightforward funding to provide a series of six workshops. All places in the workshops are fully funded by One Community Foundation. Sounds great.
