Honley Show planning a bumper event this Saturday July 1st back at its Farnley Tyas showground HD4 6UW
Kids Go Free if you buy before the day
The marquees are going up back at Honley Show’s much-loved and beautiful Showground in Farnley
Tyas – the site that it occupied for 20 years from 2000.
Honley Show is one of the best one-day agricultural shows in Yorkshire, and returning to Farnley
Tyas will allow the show to be run at full strength with competitions being held in most of the usual
animal classes and handicrafts. These will sit alongside the familiar food and drink stalls,
entertainments and outdoor shopping opportunities.
New for this year is a Classic Truck section and if this proves popular it will become a regular event.
There will also be alpacas, in the main ring at 10.30, and the extraordinary Mangalitza “woolly” pigs
in the pig tent.
The route to the site will be familiar to many but the layout of the field and entry points are different
as all access is off Thurstonland Road. A free bus will run from Moor Bottom in Honley from 9a.m. to
6pm so people can leave their cars at home.
The adult ticket pricing is particularly competitive and KIDS WILL GO FREE if you buy online or at
local businesses before the day.
• Adults £15 and Kids Go Free – Until 11pm on Friday 30th June
• On the day tickets – Adults £18 and £3 for kids
Peter Aspinall the Show President says:
” The move back to our Farnley Tyas showground has been very well received and we have had a
strong response to this year’s show from trade stand holders, other business partners and
competitors. Our volunteer team have put a huge amount of effort into the show as always and we
are confident that this means 2023 will be another bumper event. “
Honley Show is one of the most prestigious, well attended and respected one day agricultural shows
in the county. Traditional but always surprising there’s something new every year to help make it a
great day out for kids and adults alike.
