Job Description
G, K & N Services Ltd (including G, K and N Spares Ltd) are a family run company based in Holmfirth; we design manufacture & build bespoke road and rail vehicle tankers and sell them to the biggest operators in the UK and run an onsite and online shop supplying accessories to the drainage, jetting, and welfare industries.
Due to expansion and a full order book, GK&N Services is now seeking a Plant/ HGV/ Mechanical Fitter to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. They will take direction and instruction from more senior members of the team to aid the production in manufacture, finishing and delivery of high-quality tankers for the jetting, drainage, and welfare industry.
Purpose of Role:
Assembly and Repair of new build specialist vacuum and Jetting equipment
Key areas:
- Fault finding and repairs on equipment.
- New equipment assembly
- Road or rail tanker equipment maintenance, repairs and modifications
- Welding (TIG & MIG in aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel)
- Vehicle pneumatics
- Vehicle hydraulics
- Vehicle electrics
Key Skills and Experience:
- Hydraulics and auto electrical experience
- Small engine experience
- Pump and rotating machinery experience
- Fabrication and welding experience
- Highly motivated and confidence in their workmanship
- Have a background within commercial vehicle, construction plant or agricultural engineering.
- Ability to achieve results in a busy working environment and manage own workload.
- Excellent communication skills with both operators and business owners
- Have a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Full driving license (Essential)
HGV licence (Desired)
Mechanical Engineer Experience (Essential)
Engineer experience in our field (Desired)
