Customer Service Administrator – Burton Security

CUSTOMER SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR                                                                                                 

Based:  Holmfirth 

Salary:   £25000 + company bonus 

Benefits:  Bi-monthly company bonus, optional on call bonus, 20 days’ (+ 8 statutory days) annual holiday with a time served accrual system, pension, life insurance, and enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave and company sick pay schemes after a qualifying period

Burton Security is a company specialising in the manufacture, distribution, installation & aftersales service of physical security products. We are looking for bright, positive individuals to join our small and friendly customer service team; helping customers and scheduling engineers.      

The primary role will be liaising with customers, processing orders and scheduling our field team of installation and service engineers. 

Main duties will include: 

  • Providing 1st line service support to customers
  • Processing sales orders 
  • Managing in installation and service engineers to ensure timely completion of works
  • Ensuring we meet service level agreements in place with our key customers  
  • Liaising with technical support and our lead engineers 
  • Liaising with our fabrication department to organise product upgrades 
  • Inputting service call data onto our system and tracking the progress
  • Help serve customers in our retail showroom and eBay business 
  • Processing information from the engineer’s report 
  • Producing quotations for requested works and invoicing for works carried out
  • Updating and generating reports from various databases on our performance levels

To be successful, you must:

  • Have experience working within a customer orientated environment, preferably scheduling or service desk and/or a helpdesk   
  • Enjoy dealing with customers and understand that the customer always comes first
  • Be organised and methodical  
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Be willing to cover an out of hours phone line (usually 1 week in 4 and subject to additional pay)
  • Prior knowledge of Microsoft NAV or Fieldmotion would be an advantage but is not essential
