Bookkeeper/Accountant

Ideally AAT Qualified or qualified by experience you must have a strong background working within accountancy practice providing support for a wide range of clients.

Essential qualities and skills:

• Strong analytical skills – able to explain the why as well as the what and work out what needs to be done where issues arise
• A practical and methodical approach and able to see the wood from the trees and present them in an logical manner
• “Can do” attitude and be prepared to roll your sleeves up as part of the team ability to work to tight deadlines
• Be at ease liaising with clients/other team members at all levels
• Have strong IT skills across a number of platforms – mainly Xero, FreeAgent, Dext and Excel

Desirable skills:

• Statutory accounts production and tax experience would be a bonus but not essential (but you soon will have).

Experience:

• Accounting: 1 year (required)
• Bookkeeping: 2 years (required)
• Working in accountancy practice: 2 years (required)

Hours & Salary:

• Expected hours: 22.5 – 37.5 per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in practice environment
• Work Location: In person
• Salary based on experience and skill set
• Pay: £27,500 – £30,000 depending on experience.
