Stable/Farm Hand – Part Time
Overview:
Towndoor is a family-owned commercial property specialist with over 35 years’ experience based in Holmfirth. We are looking for a part-time stable/farm hand to assist at the farm where one of the directors resides. The candidate must be someone who is adaptable, hard-working, and that likes animals, particularly horses. This is a physically demanding job, so the candidate must be able to perform manual labour, and work in all weather conditions.
Requirements for the role:
Highly responsible, reliable, and flexibleEnthusiastic and passionate with excellent time managementAbility to work well alone with minimal supervisionDriver’s licence and own vehicleMust like animals and have a willingness to help wherever needed around the farmExperience of working on a farm is preferrableExperience driving a small tractor preferrable
Duties include:
Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all animalsMucking out stables (including grooming, poo picking, replenishing hay bales etc.)Refreshing water/feedingGroomingDog walkingManual tasks (such as gardening and routine/general maintenance tasks)Assist with pest control around the farmEnsure general supplies are stocked up
