Job Summary
We are looking to appoint a Preschool Cleaner to maintain high levels of cleanliness in our busy setting. We have a baby room and a large preschool room that requires cleaning on a daily basis.
Location: Shepley Preschool and Out of School Club, Firth Street, Shepley, Huddersfield, HD8 8DD
Job title: Preschool Cleaner
Hours: 10 hours a week, either 5.30am-7.30am or 6pm-8pm
Closing date: Friday 12th December
Start date: W/C 15th December 2025
Rate per hour: £12.21
Responsibilities and Duties
A variety of regular and scheduled deep clean duties, including (but not limited to):
- Clean all bathrooms – children and staff
- Hoover all carpet areas throughout nursery
- Sweep and mop all hard floors
- Clean kitchen area and surrounding areas
- Damp clean office areas including IT equipment
- Empty all general waste bins
- Damp clean all skirting boards
- Clean all glass panels on doors and windows
- Clean all door handles
- Damp clean all windowsills
- High dust throughout
- Deep clean of all carpets
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in a similar role
- The ability to achieve high standards of cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
- Have a sound working knowledge of COSHH
- Be reliable, trustworthy and pro-active
- Able to work as part of a larger in a team
