Two Valleys Fresh Produce (Meltham) Deli & Butchers

Two Valleys fresh produce was founded in May 2011 by John & Ella.

Deli ~ Butchers ~ award winning Pie Makers ~ Sandwiches – Specialising in Pork Pie & Cheese Wedding ‘cakes’, bespoke gift hampers, cheese boards & much more….

We started out selling fresh pork & beef from our family farms in Slaithwaite & Holmfirth by way of a home delivery service & local markets/festivals.  In 12 months we came a long way and bought our first shop in which to sell the produce from.  This shop (formerly R&J Lodge) already had it’s own excellent reputation and we now aim to keep the good name and build on this.

A little bit about the farms & family background….

The Bamforth family have been farming in the Colne Valley for over 60 years & in the Holme Valley for over 15 Years.

The two Family Farms are nestled within the hills of the two valleys (hence the company name) which are now being run by the 2nd & 3rd generations of the family.  On the farm we pride ourselves on the welfare of the animals we breed & we certainly know how to breed them for the tastiest of flavours.

Until May 2011, the family farming business consisted of breeding & rearing the cattle & pigs for the wholesale market only & also a milk round covering a wide area of Huddersfield.  We then decided to branch out and diversify the family business & Two Valleys was born.

As you can see we have a wealth of farming expertise behind us & with this combined with the knowledge & expertise of an award winning pie making champion, definitely makes for some excellent produce.

Besides the produce from our farms, we believe in stocking the freshest local produce in our shop and aim to stock only local (wherever possible).

The meat produce is supplied direct from our Family Farms in the Colne & Holme Valleys. It has 100% traceability & our beef is matured on the bone for a minimum of 14 days for the fullest flavour.
