Part-Time Commercial Cleaner Wanted – Surefoot Systems (UK-Wide, Travel Required)
Are you an experienced cleaner with a background in operating professional cleaning equipment like scrubber dryers and wet vacuums?
Surefoot Systems is looking for a reliable and hard-working individual to join our team for business-to-business Antislip floor cleaning projects across the UK.
We are a long-established, family-run company based in Shepley, Huddersfield, with over 25 years in the Health & Safety and Slip Prevention industry.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience operating commercial floor cleaning machines (e.g. scrubber dryers, wet vacs).
Preferred knowledge of Antislip treatments, cleaning chemicals and rotary scrubber machines.
Understanding of different floor pads for rotary machines and their uses.
Knowledge of COSHH and willingness to work with some hazardous chemicals like acid etch treatments (Hydrofluoric acid and ammonium bifluoride) (training and PPE provided). Prior experience preferred.
Must have flexible availability, including overnight shifts and weekends.
Reasonable level of fitness and able to work long hours when needed.
Ideally self-employed with your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed at 45p/mile).
The Role:
Cleaning large floor areas in shopping centres, swimming pools, spas, and leisure facilities etc. However, there may be small sites as well like hotel bathrooms.
Travelling to and from client sites across the UK. Sometimes in our company vehicle or we may ask to meet you at a designated location in your own vehicle.
Working to high standards of cleanliness, professionalism and safety on commercial properties.
Occasional overnight stays (accommodation sometimes provided).
Job Details:
Part-time, flexible working – we work with you to arrange a suitable date for the work to be completed.
Payment terms to be discussed during interview stage however it will be based on a daily rate: typically, £125 to £350 per day/night depending on travel distance and time on-site.
Expenses covered for meals and accommodation where applicable.
Must be comfortable with self-employed status and invoicing.
Hours will vary significantly per mpn
