ROLE – Machine operators (Various)
JOB TYPE – Permanent / Full Time
HRS – 37.5hr per week, Mon – Thurs 8.00am – 4.15pm, Friday 8.00am – 3.00pm
PAY – Training Rate £13.43 per hr increasing to £14.60 per hour + production bonus

Dathan Tools & Gauge Co. Ltd are looking for experienced Machine Operators to join our team. Ideally suited to skilled engineers although full training will be given to the right candidates to achieve high quality and efficiency levels. There is a lot to learn about our products and we work to high tolerance and work to microns. If you have experience, understanding and knowledge of gear cutting tools, that would be advantageous.

Main Duties Include:
- Clocking on & off jobs on our Javelin System
- Setting and operating both manual and CNC machines
- Understanding and reading of drawings
- Profile grind gear shaper cutters on manual and CNC grinding machines
- Universal grinding
- Carrying out checks on your machine and identify abnormalities/ errors
- Store & maintain the tooling/gauges/ diamonds/ grinding wheels appropriate for your duties
- Maintaining a clean and safe work space and environment following 5S methodology
Key Requirements:
- Experience in operating machinery, CNC/ Manual profiling or similar would be preferred
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Good level of numeracy & literacy
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
- Flexibility and willingness to learn
- Full clean driver license – not essential
