Machine Operative
Spectrum Yarns Ltd is a family-owned textile manufacturing company based in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield. We manufacture yarn and garments in our factory which supply our two brands; Glenbrae and Stylecraft.
As we are an SME/family business with a total of 115 employees (a significant percentage of which have received a gold watch for 25 years’ service) we take tremendous pride in the fact that we have a happy and loyal workforce. We are looking for somebody who is conscientious, hardworking, has good attention to detail and enjoys being part of a team!
Shifts are Monday – Thursday 6.30 am – 6.30 pm.
Duties Include:
- Day to day running of machines
- Ensuring machines and working areas are kept clean and tidy
- Facilitate and improve production efficiency
- Ensure mill procedures are followed to maintain high quality standards
- Adhering to mill safety policies and procedures
- Working alongside other members of team / department
Key Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Great attendance and time keeping
- Physically fit, as you will be on your feet throughout the shift
- Work well as part of a team
- Able and willing to learn new skill and tasks

Experience & Education (preferred not required) as all training will be provided onsite:
- Experience in textile mill would be an advantage
- Experience working hands on
