Local Girlguiding are looking for volunteers:
“If you are looking to give your wellbeing (or CV!) a boost, have you thought about volunteering with Girlguiding? We’re the UK’s largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls.
We have lots of opportunities to get involved, for example:
- Helping out at regular meetings with our playful Rainbows (aged 4-7), curious Brownies (7-10), imaginative Guides (10-14) or proactive Rangers (14-18). This could be once a week or once a month to flex around your other time commitments.
- Helping to organise one-off events – this could be anything from camping or canoeing to pamper weekends or movie nights, and everything in between!
- Sharing a hobby or skill you’re really passionate about – could you run workshops with an appreciative new audience?
- Supporting in the background with paperwork, marketing or even shopping!
- If you love developing people, there are always roles mentoring or training other volunteers.
Some of our roles are women-only, but there are lots of opportunities for men to volunteer and support local guiding too. To find out more from your local team, visit https://go.girlguiding.org.uk/join-us/join-as-volunteer/ to connect with us.”
