The contractors, Tilbury Douglas, have submitted the Construction Environmental and Traffic Management Plan for the Planners’ approval. This gives considerable detail about how the town centre work will be done and when.
There will be some disruption; the Plan shows how the Council and Tilbury Douglas’s staff will try to minimise it.
The work will result in significant improvements to the town centre and create a space for the market and events as well as easier car parking, with spaces for people with disabilities. The traffic will flow better through the town and Hollowgate will become a more attractive space.
