Walk: When Holmfirth Flooded
6th July - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

2024 is the 80th anniversary of the Whit Monday flood.
This walk takes in some of the river route and includes many stories from the day itself and those following, including acts of heroism, how people got back home and the clean up.
It concludes with a photo exhibition from the 1944 floods.
Expect music and surprises.
- This walk is steep in places
- Wear suitable footwear
- Dogs on short leads accepted, but not in the indoor venue we visit at the end of the walk.
