Early Morning Artisan Bread Baker
Are you a passionate and skilled baker with a love for handcrafted artisan breads? Rogers Artisan Bakery in Marsden has a fantastic opportunity for you!
Job Description: Join our small, dedicated team and work predominantly with retarded doughs, including sourdough, focaccias, baguettes, and tin loaves.
Your role will involve:
- Baking breads in both deck and convection ovens
- Preparing and baking focaccias
- Bagging and slicing breads as per order sheets
- Keeping your area clean and organised
- Help out in other areas when required
We are looking for candidates who:
- Know how and understand how to score retarded doughs, load ovens with a manual oven loader, and bake bread to our high standards
- Are enthusiastic, committed, and eager to learn
- Can carry out physical work
- Are reliable, methodical, organised, and team-oriented
- Can work on their own and use their initiative when required
Schedule:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 1am – 8am
- Friday and Saturday: 12am – 7am
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a bakery, primarily baking bread
Job Type:
- Full-time
Pay:
- £24,500 to £26,500 per year, depending on experience, plus pension (average of 36 hours including paid breaks)
