Activity Support Assistant – Breakfast & After School Club

Salary details: Grade 4

Schools: New Mill Schools

Contract Type: Fixed Term till 31.08.2026 following a successful probationary period.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, term time plus 6 weeks during school holidays and 5 inset days. Working hours will change during the 6 week school holidays and inset days to cover the holiday club.

Breakfast Club 7.15am – 9am
After School Club 3pm – 6pm

The post could possibly be split into a job share of breakfast club and after school club but there is still a requirement to work 6 weeks during school holidays plus 5 inset days.

Closing date: 9am Friday 20th June 2025

Interviews: w/c 23rd June 2025 but to be confirmed with the applicant/s
Start Date: 1st September 2025

New Mill Schools are looking to appoint a new enthusiastic and dedicated colleague to support in our busy Out of School Club. You will work as part of our team to support the care and welfare of the children.

Our ideal candidate will be able to:
~ Provide high quality play opportunities for all children in a safe, happy and caring environment.
~ Being responsible for tidying rooms and taking care of club equipment.
~ Being creative to help plan new and exciting activities, games and opportunities for children
~ Provide refreshments and ensure that hygiene and health and safety standards are met both in food preparation and all aspects of club life.
~ Working within agreed policies and procedures, and in particular, being aware of staff responsibilities around the safeguarding of children in our care.
~ Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
~ Be able to work on your own initiative, using judgement and common sense.
~ Undertaking appropriate and relevant training including First Aid.
