CARLECOTES TO HOST SUMMER GARDEN PARTY

Carlecotes village, near Holmfirth, will be hosting its annual Summer Garden Party fundraiser on behalf of St Anne’s church, which will take place on Saturday 28^th June at 2pm in the grounds of the church and hall in Carlecotes.

Strawberries and cream will be served and guests will be entertained by musical performances by the award-winning Hade Edge Brass Band.  For the first time, Millhouse Male Voice Choir will be singing at the Summer Garden Party, entertaining guests with songs from the past and present.

The Summer Garden Party is St Anne’s church’s main fundraiser for the year and is well known amongst the local community for being a really enjoyable afternoon. Last year, St Anne’s church was successful in securing funds from Banks Renewables for two large marquees, so cover could be provided in case of bad weather.

Tickets are priced at £10 (including Strawberries & Cream) and are available on the door.  There will be a fully licensed bar, cakes and other refreshments available on the day, plus a raffle. Visitors can also take a look inside St Anne’s church and enjoy a woodland walk in the grounds.
