Chef – Lu’s Place
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to support the kitchen team at Lu’s Place, to be available for an immediate start. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in a modern and vibrant venue.
You would work closely with the kitchen team to assist with the food operation. You will support the team to drive the food standards, and speed of service.
RATE OF PAY
Competitive – To be negotiated based on experience
CAFÉ OPENING HOURS
Monday: 10am – 3pm
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 10am – 3pm
Thursday: 10am – 3pm
Friday: 10am – 3pm
Saturday: 9:30am – 4pm
Sunday: 9:30am – 4pm
The position would suit anyone looking for a better work/life balance as all hours are during the day.
YOU WILL:
- MUST be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have catering qualifications or relative experience
- Be organised, work well under pressure, have a flexible approach to working hours and lead by example
- Be reliable, conscientious, and punctual
- Be able to adhere to company standards and procedures
- Have strong verbal communication and people skills and be able to communicate daily to relevant team members
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Food preparation and presentation
- Support the kitchen team to create recipes and develop dishes
- Support the kitchen team with stock control and levels
- Support the kitchen team with ordering food, drink, and disposables
- Support the kitchen team with recording food safety and daily checks
- Deep cleaning the kitchen
- Pot washing
SCHEDULE
- 20-25 hours per week plus holiday cover
- Must be flexible across Wednesday to Monday
- Must be able to work weekends
