3 FREE Conscious Movement classes at Holmfirth Civic Hall.

Conscious Movement is a form of dance, there are no steps, you simply move how you feel to a music landscape.

Words drop away as you move the way that feels right for you.

No experience is necessary. You will be very welcome as you are.

About Victoria:

“I’ve been a therapeutic masseuse for 27years, conscious dancing for 10years and I’m currently in training to be a BISO (Body in SOul) teacher.

As part of my teacher training I’m offering these three classes within The Civic Hall in Holmfirth town centre which has a wooden floor… perfect for us all to find and move our feet.”

All adults are welcome.

If you would like to join: You are welcome to come to one, two or all three classes.

There’s a beauty to be found in repetition and familiarity so if you can attend all three, please do.

BISO Conscious Movement Dance:

This experience is for you if you
– are looking for an expressive practice to drop into body sensations through dance
– are wanting to discover or recover your self through the joy and simplicity of conscious movement
– are looking for the freedom to express movement in your body in a safe environment and with like minded people.

You do not need to be a ‘good dancer’ to benefit from this practice.  The intention of simply turning up and seeing what happens is enough.

You can expect a non prescriptive warm up through dance to varied musical landscape.

Victoria will then guide you through progressive conscious body awareness with words followed by the invitation to free dance in the space.

Sitting quietly together will close the conscious practice and allow room for reflection.
