Stephen Dorril: ‘The Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) at Honley Library

26th September - 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Friends of Honley Library Invite you to a ‘meet the author’ event.

How do you research an organisation that releases no records and imposes a lifelong oath of secrecy on its members, when you live in the small village of Netherthong?

Author of books on MI6, the Profumo Affair, The Plots Against Harold Wilson and a biography of Sir Oswald Mosley, Stephen Dorril has been researching British Intelligence for forty years and has appeared on and been consultant to numerous television and radio documentaries dealing with intelligence issues. Recently retired from the University of Huddersfield and as Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Leicester, he is currently completing a book on British Intelligence in Northern Ireland.

Light refreshments will be available. The event is free but donations to Friends of Honley Library are welcome.
