Holmfirth is a small Pennine town which comes to life during the Festival of Folk. There has been a folk festival in Holmfirth for more than 40 years. In fact 2023 will be the 45th! We pride ourselves on producing a community based festival involving schools, local talent, most businesses in the town and, of course, a small army of volunteers. Our income is tiny compared to most festivals on the circuit and comes mainly from sponsorship, grants, public collections and ticket sales.

The Weekend ticket price is  £60 (+booking fee if purchased through wegottickets)

You may have noticed that there will be another event happening on Festival weekend, down south. We will try to not let it impede on our Festival, however, the fabulous Procession will now take place on Sunday 7th rather than the usual Saturday.
