DESCRIPTION:Eden’s Forest Summer Holiday Club\nJoin us this summer at our woodland Holiday Club\, where children can spend the day outdoors enjoying proper screen‑free time\, fresh air and real woodland adventures. We’re running sessions for both 5–7 year olds and 8–14 year olds across the full six weeks of the holidays.\nExpect the thrill of zip‑lining\, conquering the cargo net\, seasonal crafting and bushcraft\, trying your hand at green woodwork\, meeting new friends and exploring the woods. Children can build dens\, follow nature trails\, splash in our little stream and round off the day with delicious s’mores and embrace the possibility of a little mud along the way.\nDrop‑off and pick‑up are age‑specific. SUMMARY:Life Drawing with Jamie Frost (Mon Evening)
DESCRIPTION:This class takes place at the Sculpture Lounge Studios- home to a growing number of professional artists. Classes are led by Jamie Frost\, a figurative art specialist with a particular passion for drawing:\n\nDrawing is a very personal thing so it’s important to me that the atmosphere of my classes is welcoming and accepting. Small groups of people help each other to understand what they are doing\, regardless of experience\, whilst I provide a structure\, tuition\, and advice which can move things forward.\n\n\nMy sessions take into account the complete beginner but we also have plenty of more experienced artists involved. \n\nIn order to attend you just have to bring yourself and some enthusiasm. I provide drawing media and good quality cartridge papers. The studio is equipped with easels\, drawing boards and all the equipment you should need\n\nThe course structure includes regular lessons in formal drawing. Line\, tone\, perspective\, mark-making\, blending\, foreshortening\, portraiture and many other subjects are discussed. You will be introduced to the work of other artists and encouraged to experiment and express yourself.\n\nClasses run in ‘terms’ of varying length- please check the schedule carefully before booking. There’s an opportunity to catch up on missed sessions in any of my other weekly classes.\nRefreshments are also included

DESCRIPTION:Eden’s Forest Summer Holiday Club\nJoin us this summer at our woodland Holiday Club\, where children can spend the day outdoors enjoying proper screen‑free time\, fresh air and real woodland adventures. We’re running sessions for both 5–7 year olds and 8–14 year olds across the full six weeks of the holidays.\nExpect the thrill of zip‑lining\, conquering the cargo net\, seasonal crafting and bushcraft\, trying your hand at green woodwork\, meeting new friends and exploring the woods. Children can build dens\, follow nature trails\, splash in our little stream and round off the day with delicious s’mores and embrace the possibility of a little mud along the way.\nDrop‑off and pick‑up are age‑specific. SUMMARY:Drawing and Painting at Jamie Frost Studio (Wed am)
DESCRIPTION:This class is a very practical and skills-based session. You can expect to learn about the various aspects of image making- perspective\, tone\, colour\, mark making\, composition and other formal elements.\nYou’ll gain the skills to deal with a variety of subject matter\, and to understand how to choose the most relevant method of working for you and the subject.\n\nSubjects covered include colour application\, under-painting\, blocking in\, light values\, reflected colour and blending and detailing techniques. At the core of all of this is drawing- a drawing is a way of finding out\, of letting people know\, of solving problems. Anything you do as an artist will be to do with drawing.\n\nClasses run in ‘terms’ of varying length- please check the schedule carefully before booking. There’s an opportunity to catch up on missed sessions in any of Jamie’s other weekly classes.\n\nRefreshments and materials are provided

SUMMARY:One to One Week Day Jewellery-making workshops with Rooks & Roses
DESCRIPTION:We now offer a full day (bookings available weekdays\, Mondays to Fridays\, 10am – 5pm) one to one workshop session with Karl in his studio at the Sculpture Lounge in Holmbridge\, Holmfirth\, West Yorkshire.\nYour day can be tailored to your specific needs and requirements\, so this workshop will suit you if you’re any of the following:\n* I’m completely new to jewellery-making and would like a full introduction to the basic tools and methods\n* I’ve dabbled in the past and would like to refresh my skills and memory\n* I’m already pretty adept at making jewellery but would like to extend my knowledge\, gain advice\, learn hints and tips\, and have full use of your tools and workshop for the day\nIn his fully equipped studio\, Karl can guide you through the process of how to cut\, file\, shape and solder copper and silver\, in order to create your own special piece (or pieces) of jewellery. You’ll be encouraged to think about the way different materials work and how various methods such as heating\, hammering and texturing\, can assist in creating unique pieces. You can work from your own design ideas or a number of possible examples. Karl will work closely with you with to create your vision within the parameters of the time and materials available. Together you will examine the designs\, and explore the methods required to turn your design into a reality.\nUltimately\, the aim of the day is whatever you want it to be (within reason of course; we can’t promise you’ll leave the next Faberge or Winston! But we’ll do our best!). Upon booking\, drop us an email with some ideas of what you’d like to get out of the day\, and we’ll let you know how we can help.\nYou can book as many days as you like or just the one! We don’t mind.\nTo note:\nThe minimum age of participants is 18.\nA set amount of materials are included in the price\, however if your design requires more\, this can be purchased on the day.\nThe course will run each day between 10am and 5pm with a one hour break at 1pm.\nAll tools required will be provided\, however if you do have any personal tools that you would prefer to use\, you are more than welcome to bring them along.\nLight refreshments will be provided throughout the day but students are advised to bring a packed lunch.\nThe courses will take place throughout the year at Karl’s workshop which is located at;\nSculpture Lounge\nHolmbridge Mill\nBank Lane\nHolmbridge\nHolmfirth\nHD9 2NE\nIf you have any questions regarding Karl’s workshops or wish to enquire about a mutually convenient date to book\, please do not hesitate to contact us.
